Speak the name “Jesus”

Sometimes life gets hard. We find ourselves depressed, bitter, lost, miserable, hopeless and unhappy. We don’t have to feel like there’s no help for us. We are not hopeless and there’s help for us. Roman 10:13 tells us “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Jesus is our hope.

We’re going to face hardship in our lives. We sometimes make decisions that cause us pain. There are times when our pain comes from the people around us. We feel so heavy and weighed down. But, there is hope for us. We can have and experience peace through every situation. In John 14:27 Jesus tells us, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.” We don’t have to let anything bring us down. We are children of God. We can call on him. God will lift any cast down spirit and give hope to us.

We don’t have to be elaborate when we call on Jesus. All we have to do is believe when we speak his name. When we’re hurting, Jesus. When we’re sad, Jesus. When we feel hopeless, Jesus. When we need help, Jesus. When our emotions are everywhere, Jesus. When we’re lost, Jesus. When we’re depressed, Jesus. When we’re bitter about life, Jesus. When we don’t know what to say, Jesus. When we need to be healed, Jesus. We can change our lives and situations by speaking his name. There is power in the name of Jesus. John 14:14 “If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” God wants to show us his glory. He wants us to call upon him. God is I Am. He looked down through our years, he looked upon us. He knew we would need him today. He’s already made a way for us. All we have to do is call his name, Jesus. If we believe he’ll show us his face. We’ll know without any doubt that Jesus is real.

I want to encourage you to don’t be afraid or ashamed to be a follower of Jesus. He is our hope, peace, joy, happiness and love. Speak and believe in the name of Jesus. We are called to be different. Be the light. May God bless and keep you.
