Faith and Prayer

Sometimes life doesn’t always go as planned. That doesn’t mean that we should lose faith or stop praying. Our plans don’t always line up with, what God has planned for us. He always has our best interest in mind. God loves us so much that he plans to give us nothing but the best. He lets us know that in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans, I have for you declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

When we take detours in life, it doesn’t seem like God’s plan for us. In his word he lets us know, that he is always there to help us. Although we tend to get impatient, angry, hurt, sad, depressed and lose hope. We can always trust God’s word. It’s easy for us to have faith and pray when things are going our way. It’s even harder keeping our faith and praying when things seem to be falling apart. Don’t lose hope because there are a few things we can do to keep our prayer/faith going strong:

  1. We should always wholeheartedly seek God first, about anything that concerns our lives. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.” God loves us and he’s concerned about every minor/major detail in our lives. He wants to see us prosper and do well in life.

2. Pray and believe what we ask for. Being prayerful is a part of keeping our faith strong. Mark 11:24 says “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, When you pray believe that you receive them and he shall have them.”

3. Be mindful of what we think, but most importantly what we speak. Always make sure we believe what we are speaking concerning our life. We have to let every thought declare that we have what we are asking God for. The more we speak it, the more we believe it, and become fully persuaded by our own thoughts. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of Things Not Seen.”

4. We have to put our faith over everything including time. Don’t lose hope in your waiting season. Find scriptures that support what you want. Read them throughout the day and everyday. If it’s in God’s word then it’s his will for us. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. That verse along let us know that God wants to bless us, with all of his promises.

We should always remember that, no matter what we go through, God is for us. We should always pray and seek him first. We should always Speak life over every situation we go through. Always choose to believe God’s word and his promises over everything we see and feel. I pray this post helps you along your journey. May God bless and keep you.
