Don’t Complain but Pray

It’s so easy to complain. Sometimes, life seems hard and unfair. We get tired of the challenges we sometimes face. We just want to complain or have something to complain about. God wants us to know that we don’t have to complain. There’s hope and answers through prayer. God wants us to come to him in prayer. Psalm 55:17 states, “Evening, and morning, and at noon, I will pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”

When we complain, it has a negative impact on our day. It causes mood changes, depression, and isolation. A lot of the time, we complain when things don’t go our way. We complain when we’re miserable and unhappy. We complain when we’re comparing our life struggles with someone else life struggles. We become bitter when we complain. Focusing on the negative things is distracting us from seeing the blessings we have in our lives. God doesn’t want us to be miserable and unhappy. He wants us to give him our full attention. Giving God our voice, thoughts, time, and prayers will change our complaints into prayers, faith, praise, hope, happiness, gratitude, and worship. We have to have positive conversations and be content. Hebrews 13:5 tells us to ” Let our conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” God will never leave us alone. He wants us to come to him with our problems. Through prayer and guarding our words, we can change our lives. Proverbs 18:21 states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Instead of complaining, choose to speak life in whatever state you’re in. God wants us to align our words with his words.

God loves us and wants us to come to him for EVERYTHING. He’s the only one who can help us with our complaints. He wants us to know that trouble doesn’t last. Situations change for the better. God is bigger than our problems. We can’t receive the things we pray for if we’re too busy complaining. Pray in faith and believe God’s word. Be the light. May God bless and keep you.

  2. I absolutely needed this today!! Not Complaining about things is something that I continue to work through every day. Of course we all do it at some point, but your blog reminds me that I dont have to worry or complain about what I don’t have or want and that I have to remember what god has blessed me with, and I can tell you that it’s a lot more than what I complain about. Thank you for sharing, and may god bless you to share future positive thoughts with us. ❀️
